I have read that according to Shaikh Uthaymeen, it is not permissible to keep Nafl fast on Fridays and Saturdays.
Answer
Shaikh Ibn Uthaymeen was a Salafi. His ruling is incorrect. It is permissible to fast Nafl on Fridays and Saturdays. Salafis have their own religion.
