Is Zakaat payable on precious stones and platinum?
Answer
There is no Zakaat on precious stones. Only if the stones are for reselling, then it will be stock-in-trade and Zakaat taxable. But if the stones are for one's use, Zakaat is not payable. Platinum too is Zakaatable only if it is stock-in-trade.
