Is it permissible to attend a Jalsah where women are also in attendance and can be seen entering the Masjid yard? The women are accommodated separately. This Jalsah was a Bukhari khatam and Qur'an Khatam.
Answer
It is haraam to attend a haraam jalsah regardless of the deceptive designation given to the haraam, merrymaking function. All participants are maloon. The Qur‟aan Majeed and Bukhaari Shareef are made mockeries and utilized for fulfilment of the inordinate dictates of the nafs.
These functions painted with a „deeni‟ veneer are also signs of Qiyaamah. The amal of the Deen is used for the attainment of worldly and nafsaani objectives.
