Question
A man died as a result of an overdose of drugs. Did he commit suicide? What is his fate?
Answer
The fate in the Aakhirah is known to only Allah Ta'ala. The person who dies as a result of overdose of drugs has not necessarily committed suicide. His addiction caused him to take the overdose. We shall therefore not rule that he died by suicide.
