Is it permissible to use, "May he rest in peace" or "Rest in Peace, RIP" for deceased Muslims with the intention of praying for them? This expression has become common and a way to express prayers to the deceased family.
Answer
It is not permissible to emulate the kuffaar. It is not permissible to use this expression. Dua should be made properly, not the Christian way.
