Question
Is it permissible for a masjid committee to invite speakers who are public figures who promote a modern version of Islam? For example, coming on TV shows, taking photos, attending inter-faith gatherings, agree with all cultures, values and traditions in lieu of Islamic values?
Answer
Most certainly it is haraam for the trustees/Committee of a Musjid to invite these types of kuffaar for lecturing in the Musjid. These trustees are aiding in the destruction of the Deen by providing these zanaadaqah the Musjid platform to propagate their kufr.
