A debtor who owes me a large sum of money asks me to give him Zakaat which he will return to me as payment of his debt. Will my Zakaat be discharged?
Answer
When giving him the Zakaat, this condition may not be stipulated. If the Zakaat is given to him on the understanding that he has to return it to you, then your obligation will not be discharged.
