I am a silent partner in a company. How should I calculate the Zakaat on my share?
Answer
Zakaat is not paid on share value. Zakaat is paid on actual Zakaat assets which are gold, silver, cash and stock-in-trade. Therefore you have to calculate Zakaat on your Zakaat assets which you had in your possession on the day when you annually pay Zakaat.
