Is it permissible to hire a vehicle to a Muslim whose income is haraam?
Answer
The following question was posed to Hadhrat Thanvi: ―We hire out pots (utensils and the like for functions). There is a woman who is a professional singer. She sings at wedding functions. Will it be permissible to hire the pots to her?‖ Hadhrat Thanvi responded: ―Since the greater part of her income is haraam, it is not permissible to hire the pots to her.‖ Thus, it is not permissible to hire a vehicle to a person whose income is haraam.
