Question
In the Hadith amulets (ta‟weez) are described as shirk. But some Ulama write such ta‟weez. Is it permissible?
Answer
You are wrong. Genuine Ulama do not prepare such ta'weez which are prohibited in the Hadith. The amulets which are haraam refer to such ta'weez in which are kufr/shirk inscriptions. Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) had also prepared a Ta'weez. He was well aware of the Hadith which the deviate Salafis cite to negate even valid Ta'weez. Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) had written a Ta'weez for the king of Egypt who was suffering from severe migraine.
