Question
I am a partner in an inherited property. I want to sell my share, but the other partners refuse to buy and do not allow me to sell to an outsider. What are my rights in this regard?
Answer
A partner in a property whether inherited or purchased, may sell his share. He has to first offer the share to the other partners. If they agree to pay his price, he may not sell to an outsider. If they refuse to purchase, then he may sell to an outsider regardless of the wishes of the other partners.
