When I travel I use leather socks and make masah. A friend told me that leather socks are permissible only for the sick, and that my wudhu and Namaaz are not valid with these socks. Is this correct?

Leather socks (Khuffain) are permissible for everyone, not only for the sick. Your friend is ignorant.
