Question
The person whom I appointed as wakeel to give my Zakaat to the poor, used it for himself. Although he is entitled for Zakaat, my intention was for him to distribute the Zakaat, and I had specified this to him. Now I have learnt that he had used the Zakaat for himself. Is my Zakaat obligation discharged?
Answer
Regardless of him being entitled to accept Zakaat, your Zakaat is not discharged. You have to pay again. You may demand payment from him.
