Question
Someone claims that the rank of Hadhrat Zaid (Radhiyallahu anhu) is higher than that of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiyallahu anhu). Is this correct?
Answer
This claim is tantamount to kufr. The rank of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiyallahu anhu) is confirmed by Ijma‟ to be the highest. His rank is only next to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam).
