I have a gold ring which weighs 5 gram. Do I have to pay Zakaat on it?
Answer
If the only wealth you have is the 5 gram gold ring, then there is no Zakaat payable on it. However, if you have cash money or bank savings and if this is added to the value of the 5 gm gold and the total comes to the Nisaab value, then only will Zakaat be payable on the combined value.
