Is it permissible for a son to give his Zakaat to his struggling parents in need?
Answer
A son who wants to give his Zakaat to his struggling parents is a lousy, ungrateful child who is deprived of parental blessings. Since he has ample wealth which compels him to pay Zakaat, he has to incumbently support his parents with his own money, not with Zakaat. It is not permissible for children to give their own Zakaat to their parents nor can parents give their Zakaat to their children.
