Is it permissible to use rescue remedy. It is a calming balm which parents use to put children to sleep, etc.
Answer
The 'calming medication' is not permissible. It is an intoxicating substance, hence not permissible. In some places they give their children some opium as 'calming medication'. This is haraam. The rescue remedy is the same.
