Question

What is the position of wild animals, e.g. buck, roaming around on the farm of the deceased? Are such animals part of the estate?

Answer

If the animals were purchased by the deceased, or introduced into the fenced farm by the deceased, then these will be assets in his estate, and all the heirs have their respective shares. If they are wild animals inhabiting an unfenced farm of their own accord, then such animals do not belong to the farmer or owner of the land. Whoever hunts and catches them becomes the owner.
