Question

If a woman is in iddat after the death of her husband is she allowed to go to her neighbour‟s house via the inter leading gate between the two yards? If the neighbour happens to be her grandparents/ aunt will she be allowed to go to their homes if she is in iddat after divorce. Is the perimeters different for iddat of divorce and iddat of death? Or does it depend on who the neighbours are in relation to her?

Answer

During the Iddat she may not go to the neighbour's house. She has to compulsorily remain in the marital home and its precincts regardless of who the relatives are.
