Question
Over here in the USA you are randomly picked and summoned to court for jury duty to help decide whether a person is guilty or innocent 1.Is a Muslim allowed to serve on jury duty in a Kaafir court? You will be judging by their criminal or civil laws. Can you lose your Imaan? 2.Should a Muslim seek an exemption?
Answer
It is haraam to serve as a member of the jury. Yes, one can lose one's Imaan.
Surely, the law does not compel a person to act as a juror. If the law does compel one to be on the jury of Taaghoot, then it is Waajib to apply for exemption.
