A man has two wives. The one wife lives with him in Pretoria and the second wife lives permanently in Durban. If he goes to Durban will he be a musaafir or a muqeem. And, if the wife comes to Pretoria, what will she be?
Answer
The Watn of the husband becomes the watn of the wife. In Pretoria the wife will be a Muqeem, and in Durban both husband and wife will be Muqeem. However, if the wife permanently lives in Durban, and if the husband gives her the choice of making her own niyyat in Pretoria, then it will be valid
