Question
I was in Oman for a few days. The Muslims are of the Ibaadi sect. Is my Salaat behind them valid. It is difficult to differentiate between Ibaadis and people of the Sunnah. Only in Salaat one realizes that they are of a different sect. They keep their hands hanging at the sides. The Imaam makes only one Salaam.

While the Ibaadis are a deviated sect Salaat behind them is valid. From what you have mentioned it appears that in Fiqh they follow Imaam Maalik (Rahmatullah alayh).
