I have saved up the dividends which the Islamic bank has paid me. Do I have to pay Zakaat on these savings?
Answer
The dividends which these illegitimate rascal banks/ companies pay are haraam riba. There is no Zakaat payable on haraam money. All of it must be eliminated from your possession. Give it to the poor.
The dividends which these banks pay are riba. It is haraam interest which must be given as Sadqah without making an intention of thawaab.
