Question
My husband issued three Talaaqs to me. I know that my iddat must be in the marital home. However, I do not trust the man. He is a thorough faasiq/faajir. He will not observe the necessary purdah and I fear much fitnah from him. Will it be permissible for me to pass my Iddat in the home of my parents?
Answer
In the circumstances explained by you it is permissible, in fact necessary, to move out from the marital home and live with your parents.
