Is it permissible to give Zakaat to the Malawian immigrants who are being harshly expelled from the country?
Answer
Zakaat may be given to any Muslim who does not have the Nisaab amount. If you are reasonably satisfied that the refugee is a Muslim and is poor, then you may give him Zakaat.
