A divorced woman who has custody of her minor children marries. What is her position regarding custody?
Answer
When the mother marries a person who is not a very close relative of the children, then she loses custody. The Naani (maternal grandmother) then becomes the Shar'i custodian whilst the father remains the Shar'i guardian.
