Question
Is it incumbent for a woman to serve her unmarried brothers-inlaw? She is expected to cook for them and see to their clothing, etc.
Answer
The married girl is under no obligation to serve her brothers-in-law. In fact, the brothers-in-law should hang their heads with shame for so disgustingly expecting their sister-in-law to serve on them. She should not serve them. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that she should avoid them like 'Death'.
