A Maulana says that commercially-slaughtered chickens are permissible for the poor masses.

Question

A Maulana says that commercially-slaughtered chickens are permissible for the poor masses. However, the wealthy should abstain. Is this fatwa valid?

Answer

This stupid statement is not a fatwa. It is drivel disgorged by a moron 'molvi'. Being poor does not make permissible eating of haraam. The poor too have to abstain from haraam and eat of the many other non-meat halaal foods. Poverty is not a justification for consuming rotten, diseased, carrion chickens which the shayaateen haraam 'halaal' agencies halaalize. Carrion is haraam for even dogs.
