I am a prisoner in the United States. Do prisoners also have to pay Sadqah Fitr?
Answer
Sadqah Fitr is Waajib on those who have the Zakaat Nisaab (about $400) on the Day of Eid. If you have this amount, then you have to pay the Sadqah Fitr which is the price of 2 kilograms of flour. You may give it to any poor Muslim in prison.
