Question
The saff has not yet been filled. A musalli stands at the end knowing that the saff will soon be filled. The Imaam begins the Salaat. Is it proper for this musalli to stand apart in the saff while it is being filled?
Answer
While the Salaat will be valid, it is sinful to do as you have explained. The gap should not be left in anticipation of others filling it.
