I am invited at my in-laws for a birthday party. The program is: refreshments, tea snacks, cake cutting, dinner and dessert. My husband says that I should attend to maintain family ties. Is it permissible to attend the birthday party?
Answer
It is not permissible to attend the haraam party. Birthday parties are kuffaar customs. Family ties may not be maintained by means of haraam acts.
