The foetus is 8 weeks old. A feint heart beat has been detected by the doctors. According to them the foetus is a serious risk to the mother's life. They have prescribed tablets to clean out the womb. Is this abortion permissible?
Answer
The feint heart-beat indicates life. It is haraam to abort the foetus. Life and death are in the control of Allah Ta'ala, not the doctors. For them, medical murder is permissible. It is not permissible for her to take the haraam tablets to effect the haraam consequence. If Allah Ta'ala has decreed maut for the lady, the tablets and the doctors will not be able to thwart Allah's decree.
