Is it permissible to abandon I'tikaaf to attend the burial of a mahram lady (mother, wife, daughter)?
Answer
Only if there are no mahram males to arrange the burial, will it be permissible for one to abandon the I'tikaaf and make qadha of it. As long as there are other mahaareem to attend to the janaazah, it will not be permissible to abandon the I'tikaaf.
