In some Musjids after every four raka'ts Taraaweeh, the musallis recite certain duas aloud and collectively. What is the status of this practice?
Answer
The duas which are collectively recited aloud during the pauses of Taraaweeh are bid‟ah, that is, the method of recitation is bid‟ah. Bid‟ah is sinful. People should be informed and advised to discontinue this practice.
