Question
I find it too difficult to fulfil the 60 day Kaffaarah fasting for which I am liable. Is there any leeway? Can I pay fidyah?
Answer
As long as you are able to fast, there is no leeway. There is difficulty in everything. Working, business, cooking food, etc. are all difficult acts. This dunya is the abode of difficulty, hardship and trial. Fast during the short days of winter.
