A woman is 6 months pregnant with twins. The doctors say that if the one of the two foetuses is not aborted, both will die. Will it be permissible?
Answer
Confound what the doctors say. Life and death are the decrees of only Allah Ta'ala. Ignore what the doctors say. No one can save a life decreed to die. It is haraam to resort to abortion. Place trust in Allah Ta'ala. Make dua and accept with Sabr whatever Allah Ta'ala has decreed. Aborting at this stage is murder.
