Question
I recently attended a program at Masjid Furqaan in Houghton. I am concerned about the lack of privacy in the women's section. The area is quite open, and men are able to see the women walking to the upstairs section. Currently, there are only simple sheets hanging that are easily removed. Given that the masjid is well-funded and frequently invites women to programs, I believe they could improve the purdah facilities. Should women attend programmes and perform Salaat in this Musjid?
Answer
It is not permissible for women to attend any Musjid, not even for Salaat. The prohibition is much more emphasized for programmes which deviate molvis organize for luring women out of their homes. Those who lure females out of their homes under guise of deen are real scoundrels who act in flagrant violation with the commands of the Shariah. You should not attend any programmes at the Musjid even if the scoundrels agree to install a proper separating facility. Their separate facilities for ladies are a satanic farce. Any practice in contravention of the Shariah's ruling will be shaitaani regardless of the deceptive deeni colour with which the scoundrels attempt to camouflage the
haraam practice.
