What is the Shar'i status of using a western high toilet?
Answer
If circumstances do not compel the use of this ugly kuffaar system, then it will not be permissible. The use of western high toilets is not permissible. Only if one has a valid reason, e.g. unable to sit due to sickness, may such a filthy device be used. Or if one is in such a place where the only toilet available is a western high pan.
